Every mountain river has its own story. Now it’s your turn to tell it. We are announcing the “Voices from Mountain Rivers” contest as part of the “Clean Future for Armenia’s Mountain Rivers” project.

Who can participate?

Any group or individualwho organizes a clean-up action on the banks of mountain rivers and tells the public about it, and also publishes an article presenting the problem and highlighting the importance of protecting mountain rivers.

Content topics

Topics may include, but are not limited to:

  • the importance of environmental volunteering;
  • the ecological significance of mountain rivers;
  • the importance of sorting and recycling plastic;
  • issues of river cleanliness and protection.

One winner will be selected in each category. Both the educational value and the number of views will be evaluated.

Prize

Each winning group, individual or journalist will receive professional equipment (Insta360 camera) to create even higher-quality educational content in the future.

Volunteer groups will also have the opportunity, with the project’s support, to attend COP17 in Yerevan.

Participation requirements

For the first two categories:

At the end of the post/article description, add the following note:

This video/photo series/article was published as part of the “Clean Future for Armenia’s Mountain Rivers” project, implemented by the For People and Nature Armenian Association (FPAN) in cooperation with GRÜNE LIGA Berlin e.V., with financial support from the Federal Foreign Office of the Federal Republic of Germany.

For articles, send the link to info@fpan.am , stating the author’s name and providing contact details.

Each group or individual may participate in more than one category.
